Unbreakable, this extreme fundraising event, features five disciplines – cycling, swimming, sailing, kayaking and hiking. There’s only 50 places and the aim is to raise £100,000 for organisers Project Scotland. The activities take place all over Scotland – see the website for further details and to book your slot – if you think you’re hard enough!

Red Bull Neptune Steps

Open water swimming not challenging enough? Factor in the Maryhill canal lock system, in Glasgow and you have the premise for uphill swimming. 200 swimmers will compete – climbing 18 metres over 420 metres of canal. It’s the UK’s toughest swim, and it sold out in 10 minutes. Get along to watch though as it is bound to be a fantastic day out.
