Walk Islay

Guided walks – some on Islay and others on Jura and Colonsay/Oronsay. Every one’s a gem, with something to appeal to every walker. There’s a chance to see golden eagles on the Oa peninsula, scenery by the bucketful on Machrie beach, a climb to the top of Islay’s highest hill, Bheinn Bheigier, and much more. There’s music too, and there might be a dram. After all that walking you might need it. Booking required for some events.

Islay Beach Rugby

Yes, you heard us – rugby on the beach! Remember, this is Islay, and they do things differently here. So the rugby is played barefoot, on the beach, and is limited by the tides… Supported by Bruichladdich, one of the local whiskies, there’s a party afterwards of course. Teams are chosen now, but get down the beach and support your favourite!
