This is a half marathon with a bit of a difference â€“ the stupendous location of course! As one of the five island half marathons, (the others are Stornoway, Benbecula, Barra and Skye) which form the framework for the Heb3. You need to complete at least three of the races in one year and prizes are given on aggregate times. Of course, you can just run the one if you want!
A tough race which starts and ends on the banks of Forfar Loch, the route contains a wide variety of running surfaces including tarmac, pavement, country park paths, fields, bogs and knee deep water. This one is not recommended for beginners.
