The Push

A popular sponsored walk to raise money for St Columba’s Hospice in Edinburgh. There are three routes through the Pentlands to choose from: gold (24.5 miles), silver (18 miles) and bronze (13 miles). There’s also a family walk called The Nudge, as well as live music and children’s activities. Shuttle buses run between Heriot-Watt University campus and the start/finish at Bavelaw Castle.

Pedal for Parkinson’s

With a minimum fundraising goal of £100, get on your bike and cycle at least 25 miles to help Parkinson’s UK. There are other events all over the country but just this one in the Stirling area.

Everyone taking part gets a medal, and you can choose from the 25, 36 or 52 mile routes. Minimum age for entrants is 11, and if you are under 16 you must be accompanied by an adult and can only cycle the 25 mile route. Everyone must register in advance though. See the website for full details.
