Red Bull Hill Chasers 2014

Making a welcome return to Edinburgh, this gruelling uphill eliminator race is open to anyone with a bike – fixie, racer, BMX or mountain. A fiver (which goes to charity) gets you among the 500 qualifiers. These are whittled down to just 30, through a series of knockout rounds that take place throughout the day. If successful, you get the chance to compete against 10 of the top cyclists in the UK in the actual hillclimb. It will be an adrenaline-fuelled sprint to the top, and you have the chance to win the coveted King of the Hill!

Register online. Free to spectators.
