Salomon Glen Coe Skyline

Skyrunning, or mountain running above 2000 ft, is coming to Scotland and tackling the skyline of Glen Coe. The route will feature long sections of scrambling terrain which is comparable to moderate standard rock climbing. The route covers 53km with 4500-5000m of ascent. This event is strictly for highly experienced competitors and all aspiring entrants must provide evidence of completion of a mountain run or race, within the last 5 years, of the same level of severity to the Glen Coe Skyline. Isle of Arran Mountain Festival

Few places in Scotland cram so much scenery into such a small space as Arran – and for every hilltop there’s a sea view. This four-day festival incorporates the Goatfell Hill Race as well as a great variety of walks, some with the chance of a dip to cool off. A talk, a quiz, a wildlife trip and general socialising are all in the mix, too. Walks start and finish at Arran Adventure Cabin, in Brodick, beside Auchrannie Resort, times and prices vary.
