Join in the fun with this family-friendly event sponsored by SUBWAY. Under 12s are free, while money raised by other runners goes towards Heart Research UK.

Baxter’s Loch Ness Marathon and Festival of Running

Enjoy the scenery around the loch as you follow the marathon route along the south-eastern shores, across the river and into the centre of Inverness. With live music and entertainment afterwards, there’s a real family-friendly atmosphere. Last year’s event attracted more than 8,500 runners of 35 nationalities – it’s a big one. As well as the marathon, there’s a 10k, a 5k and a Wee Nessie run for pre-schoolers.

The Edinburgh Kiltwalk 2016

Kilts, ginger wigs, tartan bunnets – that’s the dress code for this fun event. With a highly successful event taking place last year, the event will be returning to Murrayfield Stadium once again, with the number of attendees expected to reach somewhere around 4000. Walkers have a choice of distances – 26, 12 or 5 miles – and sponsor money goes to Scotland’s children’s charities, causes and schools. The Kiltwalk Speyside 2016

Unbreakable

That’s the thing about challenges. You wait ages and then five turn up at once. Unbreakable, this extreme fundraising event, features five disciplines – cycling, swimming, sailing, kayaking and hiking. There’s only 50 places and the aim is to raise £100,000 for organisers Project Scotland.
