Angus Glens Walking Festival 2016

This great festival, now in its 14th year, has something for every walker, whatever their fitness level or area of interest. If you’re used to walking alone or in a couple, why not try it with a like-minded group of enthusiasts, and perhaps make some new friends for life? Options range from Jock’s Road, one of Scotland’s most ancient rights of way, from Braemar to Glen Doll, to a Stalker Outing, where you may spot red deer in Glen Esk. There’s a walk in Glen Clova with a real chance of seeing golden eagles, and a “wild food forage” sampling edible and medicinal plants around Forfar Loch. And legs are for dancing, too – so there’s a ceilidh on the Saturday night.
