Scotland’s mountain bike festival returns to Perthshire for a second year.
Building on the success of last year’s inaugural MTB festival – Comrie Croft will again host a bigger and better event from the 17th to 19th June 2016.
Muckmedden Events and Comrie Croft join forces to create a weekend combining superb biking, chilled out camping and live music to eat and drink by.
If you don’t already know the trails at the Croft, situated between Crieff and Comrie, then where have you been? There are fun blue runs, challenging reds and technical black trails set high in the woods, with some glorious panoramic views.
There’s tons of space to pitch your tent, or if you fancy an upgrade, a choice of five katas (or Norwegian tipi style tents), with integral stove and cooking facilities. The Croft itself is having a bit of a facelift too, with a brand new reception area, farm shop and cafe.
Totally kid friendly – there’s waterslides, bike challenges and bouncy castles to tire your little ones out or face painting, a petting zoo and story telling if they prefer gentler activities.
As far as the grown-ups go – well, there’s a great multi-stage Enduro race consisting of nine timed events, covering pump track, dual slalom and hill climbing. Fastest overall male and female rider across all nine stages will be crowned Cream o’ the Croft. Round three of the Scottish Bike Trial Championships is the main event on the Sunday, when you can watch some awesome biking skills while perhaps sipping a craft beer or two.
Hansen’s Kitchen will be preparing mouth-watering locally sourced gourmet food throughout the weekend, and there’s even a pedal powered cinema, so you can work out while watching a movie.
Cream o’ the Croft has all bases covered – just make sure you get a ticket before they all go!
