Parkrun
Event Navigation
Every Saturday morning at 9.30am, all year round, crowds of runners gather at 19 places all over Scotland for a parkrun. It’s free to enter – you just have to register, once, on the parkrun website. You then print off your barcode and bring it along whenever you run, so that it can be scanned at the finish and your time and position recorded. Nothing could be simpler – the distance is 5k, so it’s all over quite quickly, it won’t dominate your day and it’s a great motivator and an excellent way to meet new people. Locations are: Aberdeen – Esplanade, Aberdeen – Hazlehead, Ayr, Dundee, Dunfermline, Edinburgh – Cramond, Edinburgh – Portobello, Eglinton, Falkirk, Greenock, Inverness, Kirkcaldy, Perth, St Andrews, Strathclyde Country Park and four parks in Glasgow – Pollok, Springburn, Tollcross and Victoria. See parkrun website for details.
