various

2014 marks the centenary of John Muir’s death. Considered by many to be the founder of National Parks, he moved from his home town in Dunbar, to the United States, where he founded Yosemite in California.

This inaugural festival celebrates the man’s life and also the opening of a new John Muir Way, which stretches from Dunbar to Helensburgh. There will be many events taking place, and it is best to check the website for full details.
